History of Our Club

The PSNI Indoor Soccer Section was founded in 2005 after receiving an invitation to take part in the World Police Indoor Games in Eibergen, Holland. These games are the largest soccer tournament in the world with more than 105 countries participating each year.

The PSNI have participated in the last three events culminating in the 25th anniversary tournament in 2007.  The PSNI again made many new friends and saw the now customary old faces at this massive event.  Special thanks must go to the West Mercia Police and Surrey Police for their continued friendship.

The players in the squad have all represented the PSNI/RUC at ‘B’ Division level of the Irish League.

Some of the players have also competed at the World Police & Fire Games in Calgary, Quebec and Barcelona.

The squad has seen two new members join its ranks. Thankfully both these players are 35 and have considerably lowered the average age of our squad.

The Indoor Soccer Section still enjoy very strong links with its main sponsors without whom our endeavours would not be possible.
